Hello there! My name is Samantha Price, and I run Samantha Price Photography (AKA S. Price Photography), and I am going to introduce myself here to give you a bit of a rundown about who I am and what I do.
First and foremost, I am a wife, a mother, and I have a wonderful career that I absolutely love and adore. I have many different hobbies, including playing video games, vlogging, journalism, video creation, and more. Music is also a significant part of my life, and I'm also a highly motivational person because the experiences in life have shaped me into the person that I am.
I know what it's like to struggle. I know what it's like to feel like you have lost everything. I know what it's like to hit rock bottom because I've been there, and there have been many moments in my life where I never thought I would make it to the point where I am today. Due to years of trauma and abuse throughout childhood through adulthood, I am a trauma survivor. I have had Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for over a decade (the onset of which started in my teenage years), but even though I view it as a curse, I also view it as a blessing because there are many things that I would not know today, and I wouldn't have learned what it is like to be truly humble, if those experiences had never happened to me.
Photography has been a major passion of mine for over four years. Although I am primarily an architectural photographer, and although I specialize mainly in historical and plantation photography, I don't limit myself to these photography styles. While I absolutely love architecture, I also enjoy shooting a wide range of other photography styles.
Because I see the beauty in everything in the world around me, I have a burning desire to capture anything and everything that catches my eye so that I can share that beauty with the world too. In my eyes, the world is full of so many wonderful and mysterious things that deserve to be photographed and preserved not only for aesthetic purposes, but so that even when things change over time, the history of everything I capture through my lens can be viewed and appreciated for many years to come.
Even in the Deep South where we experience significant natural disasters, I've taken photos of plantations prior to a major hurricane taking place, and sadly, sometimes, objects and buildings of significant historical value are damaged or even destroyed. Luckily, however, I have been able to capture those artifacts prior to their destruction, and even though Mother Nature destroyed them, they still live on forever through photographs and will never be forgotten. This is why it is important to me that I document everything that I can in every waking moment of my life.
Photography is about more than just taking photos. It's also about sharing the beautiful, mysterious, and magical world around you. It's about preserving history. It's about capturing moments you may never experience again...
But through photographs, you can experience that moment over and over again.
You only live one life. Why limit yourself?
Savor every moment in your life, and live every day as if there is no tomorrow because tomorrow is never guaranteed. Explore your passions. Keep growing, continue developing your mind, and don't ever stop doing what makes you happy. My family, my career, my pets, my photography, and even just being able to experience this very moment of my life makes me happy, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
No matter where life takes you, keep climbing that mountain.
Remember: You are beautiful, and don't ever stop being you.
